BB Social Dining

BB Social Dining, the popular home-grown concept in DIFC has proudly opened its doors in the prestigious Rosewood Hotel on Al Maryah Island in the UAE’s capital of Abu Dhabi. 

BB Social Dining first launched in Dubai’s Financial District on the 17th of October 2017.  “BB” is derived from the Arabic words “Habibti” and “Habibi” (meaning love), a term of endearment used when speaking to a loved member of your family, friends or community in specific cultures around the world. 

The style of food at BB Social Dining places its main emphasis on being creative whilst infusing many flavours from around of the globe.  Menus are created around the concept of giving guests the freedom to design their own experiences based on single plate dishes of Bao’s, Bowls, Bites and BBQ specialties.  The extensive selection of scrumptious yet quirky desserts ensure that not only the eyes, but the tastebuds of every guest are catered to. 

The menu is a luxurious selection of Modern Eastern Cuisine variations whilst ensuring to be mindful by offering an inclusive, yet not exclusive approach of dining with vegan, vegetarian and meat-based dishes.  The mission is to ensure every palette is happy, whether it be that of a local or an international diner.  

The interior is designed with a modern, minimalist aesthetic that emphasizes clean lines, natural materials, and a warm yet inviting atmosphere.  The Abu Dhabi venue, whilst embracing the core fundamentals of DIFC, also has a twist exclusive for Abu Dhabi.  Interiors adorned by artwork from local talents, exclusive menu items for our Abu Dhabi audience and an outside shisha area are just some of the elements that will ensure your dining experience in Abu Dhabi is one you will want to repeat. 

Co-founders Chef Alexander Stump and Spero Panagakis are humbled to introduce their concept into the capital and are looking forward to meeting new and old guests.  The dynamic duo’s commitment extends beyond their passion for food and guest experiences, ensuring that every visitor receives the highest level of service and hospitality.  Stump quotes that creating new dishes exclusively for the market has been a highlight of the launch as he has taken onboard the comments and feedback from many local diners pre and post opening.  Panagakis, the visionary, is excited to implement his sustainable ethos of a dining experience into the capital by working alongside many local farms and suppliers to continue his legacy of “soil to table” menu items. 

Not only do this duo have BB Social Dining under their impressive portfolio but are also the owners and founders of a Greek restaurant called Philotimos and a sustainable healthy brand called Soule Soups.   

The world is their oyster and they are now ecstatic to call Abu Dhabi their home.
